I have a sore throat and cough, does anyone know any good cures or medicine? I've been taking nyquil and dayquil and cough drops, however, its been about a week.Please Help

So i been sick since Thursday. It started off with the feeling you get when your getting a cold. Then on Friday I had a fever and headache. Yesterday I had a terrible sore throat and last night I hardly slept. I started coughing and gagging up mucus and saliva. Today my sore throat is about the same or worse. I am going to the doctor's tomorrow for a strep test but this sore throat is really making me mad. If I have cough drops it makes me cough ironically. The only thing that helps a little is drinking OJ. Advil helps a little I guess. Does anyone have any short term cures that will work quickly to ease the pain? Anything besides gargling saltwater and cayenne pepper. Thanks.

I've had a sore throat for the last 6 days, no its not mono or strep, but i can't figure out why it won't go away I have been taking my allergy medication and tried warm lemon salt water gargle and apple cider vinegar and that tasted terrible and burned the back of my throat and i've tried tea and ice cream and i'm out of ideas10 pts for quick answer

I have a sore throat, but I don't have any good medicine I took tylenol but it only helps a little. My sore throat feels like it is around my nostril passage way area, if you get what I mean. Other than gargling salt water and other things, what are some home remedies that are easy to make? I am 13, so if your idea has to do with alcohol, I cant use it. If you don't have any remedies, what are some good medicines to take for a sore throat to cure prevent it for a long period of time such as Tylenol, Advil, etc. I have been getting this over and over. A month or so ago I got a sore throat and a cold, then that went away. About 2 weeks later, I got it again. The other day, it finally got better and now I have it again It is ruining my life, and I really hate it.

apparently, I always get sick on vacations. . Go figure.I have a sore throat it hurts to swallow a little bit and my voice is incredibly hoarse. I have a slight fever with a temperature of 101.5 F and a stuffed nose. It's so bad that I can't sleep in the night. I can't go to the doctor because of the holidays. I take demetap I think that's how you spell it and antibiotic tablets for the fever. Anyone got any suggestions on how to make me feel better , and what I might have? Please and thank you

I drank like 2 cups of water last night, took 2 tylenols, drank 2 gulps of Dr. Pepper, and exercised my abs for like 10 minutes then went to bed.When I woke up I had a terrible sore throat and tea didn't work.
