Sinus infection cured by taking potassium Iodide!?
I read an article online about Potassium Iodide. It said that is very effective in killing certain types of yeast and fungus. I was once a sinus sufferer so, I thought I would try it out. No Antibiotics could help my infection. I spent time at the ER and in the Hospital for Sinus infections. But the Potassium Iodide cured it Now, I know that Potassium Iodide works on the Thyroid. They say you should take it during a Nuclear attack sense it blocks radioactive Iodine from reaching the Thyroid gland. I also know that you are not supposed to take it over a long period of time. I only take it about once a week. I take the maximum dose only once a week now. Has anyone else ever tried this?It has been said that alot of Sinus infections are cause by a yeast or fungus, thus making antibiotics ineffective, because they are meant to kill bacteria, not yeast.Alot of the yeasts molds or fungus are unavoidable. The only thing you can really do is keep yourself as healthy as possible.

Do sinus infections cure on their own?
I am being told I need to go to a doctor for antibiotics to cure it. It just started out as a horrible cold and now I have congestion and pain in my ears and cheeks and it hurts my head when i lean or stand up. I have a stuffed up nose, massive mucus and sore throat. And a lot of pressure feeling in my head. Im also 7 months pregnant so I don't know of any medicines I can take.
